Walsh25: Walsh Library Turns 25
By Hannah Herrlich, Emerging Technologies Librarian
This year marks a monumental milestone for the William D. Walsh Family Library, as it has been one quarter of a century since the building first opened its doors in the Fall of 1997. Throughout the past 25 years, Walsh has been an oasis for countless students as a space to study, learn, and gather with their peers. There is no better way to commemorate this historic birthday of our beloved building than by launching the library-wide campaign – Walsh25!
What to Expect?
Join us in honoring Walsh’s 25th “silver” anniversary through an array of celebrations planned throughout the Fall 2022 semester!
Merchandise Freebies
If you visited Walsh Library during the first week of classes, you might have noticed a shelf in the Atrium draped with bags, pens and stickers. Each of these Walsh25 swag items were free to grab and the intentional placement of the display next to the holds shelf might have inspired some users to carry their books out in a nifty new tote bag. Further distribution of Walsh25 material and apparel could vary throughout the semester, so be sure to continue to visit Walsh Library because you never know what could be handed out next.
