“Did you know that you can explore images and primary sources from libraries, museums, and archives around the world on our Browse by collections page? You can now filter by contributing institution or collection, and scan results quickly with continuous scroll.

With more than 950 collections available (and growing weekly), scholars can gain a deeper understanding of research topics with unique primary source materials, including artworks, photographs, publications, and other artifacts.”

Reveal Digital
Reveal Digital: American Prison Newspapers

“In March, ITHAKA was awarded a grant by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to help support public engagement with Reveal Digital’s American Prison Newspapers project. This collection brings together hundreds of historical periodicals produced by incarcerated individuals.

A portion of this grant was dedicated to funding an engagement editor position at JSTOR Daily, which was recently filled by Morgan Godvin. Morgan has begun contributing articles and is seeking other writers to focus on current topics through the lens of incarcerated individuals.”
